Nice nail polish to use, very rich dark colour with just the right amounts of red and pink. Quite an even consistency, but tends to be on the runny side. I had to use two coats and touch up after two days but then again, I am using my hands alot every day. Very high shine without a topcoat and doesnt leave much residue after removal. Takes a while to dry though.

Baby pink nail polish, looks exactly like strawberry ice cream. this one required quite a few coats. Unfortunately it seems alot of the pale shades from Barry M's range seem to come out very thin recquiring alot of coats meaning it takes a lifetime to dry. Like shade 273, didnt leave much residue. Still nice to use.

This range gives fantastic shine and lasts for ages on the nails. The colours are lovely and extremely bright. However, for some reason the consistency is really runny meaning it has a nasty habit of running onto the nail all at once. Also takes forever to dry. Beginning to see a pattern developing here with Barry M nail paint.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nail Hardener and Basecoat, £5.99
Very versatile and easy to put on. I have seen a dramatic change in the strength of my nails whilst using this. brilliant base coat and also a great topcoat. The fact that its a nail hardener just means that using it as a topcoat keeps everything chip-free virtually.

Easy to put on but tends to be a bit gloopy. However for the price you cant go wrong. I dont tend to use this for nail tips but more for nail art such as marbling.

Very easy to use, but doesnt last. Not many sequins in the bottle and recquired several coats just to get enough glitter on the nail. Quite frustrating. Perhaps more useful as a topcoat but doesnt stop the nail polish from chipping away underneath.

Miss Sporty Metal Flip in Fiery Blaze 5ml £1.99 Lovely colour with an almost perfect irridescent finish. Requires about 4 coats though as its so thin. Chips very easily and needs a topcoat as well as a basecoat to avoid staining. Comes in two other colours. RATING: **
Rimmel Metal Rush in Purple Reign, 8ml £3.99
Another irridescent finish shade with a really fierce colour. Lovely finish and dries in a nice glossy finish. Only problem is it takes forever to dry and comes out quite gloopy. Quite expensive.

Barry M Instant Nail Effects Magnetic in Cosmic Glow, 10ml £4.99 Very easy to put on but a bit tricky to make the effect appear by hovering the magnet over the nail without transferring half the nail polish onto the magnet. Beautiful finish made even nicer by applying a topcoat. Lasts for ages. However, the magnet in mine has dissapeared. Annoying. I have several colours of this nail polish RATING: ****
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Espresso: £3.99
I did use a new basecoat though (review to follow) Sally Hansen Maximum Growth, which I highly recommend. Otherwise you end up with slightly stained nails.Still, a nice deep black and looks effective.
