 Barry M Texture Effects in Atlantic Road.

This is a nail polish that I absolutely adore! I've had it for a while but I've only recently got a camera that is good enough to pick up the amazing texture effects.

This polish dries to a really cool concrete-like texture but still has a bit of the shine that Barry M nail polishes are famous for.

Application

I found the application to be surprisingly easy compared with other textured nail polishes I have used in the past especially the OPI range which I found very clumpy and difficult to get an even coat. This one, on the other hand, is very easy to apply, you just need to make sure you don't overload the brush and disperse each coat evenly across the nail.

The polish is relatively glossy when first applied but as it dries it becomes more matte and grainy which s exactly the effect we're looking for.


Colour

This polish comes in a stunning range of pastel colours with a similar one released early this year in a beautiful range of metallic colours. The colours are soft but still eye-catching and vibrant without being overbearing. They also complement every skin tone.


Wear-Time

This polish had a surprisingly long wear time of about 5 days with very little chipping. This is brilliant and no topcoat is really needed. Because of the nature of this effect, however, it does pick up dirt very quickly so I did have to wipe each finger with a baby-wipe every day.

Removal

This is a more difficult polish to remove mainly because of the texture, it binds to the nail a lot more than any nail polish I have come across. Removal-wise I would say it is most like a small-particle glitter nail polish. I highly recommend using Cutex nail polish remover to remove this one as it is very tough on polish but gently on the nails plus it has a wonderful vanilla scent and you don't need much of it.

Overall

This is a brilliant nail polish perfect for giving you a wonderful nail effect with very little effort. It gives a professional finish every time and lasts well on the nails. It is also great value for money and is a perfect shade of blue. It also comes in a large variety of pastel and metallic colours. Highly recommend.
